Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait of a lady, three-quarter length, in a white silk dress with her pet squirrel by Enoch Seeman was sold in the THE HOUSE SALE auction at Christies in New York in February 2005. The price achieved of USD 10,800.00 (€ 8,136.21) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Enoch Seeman have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait Of A Gentleman In Moroccan Dress, Probably John Montagu, 2Nd Duke Of Montagu (1690-1749) in December 2015 with an auction result of GBP 43,750.00 (€ 59,410.40).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
