Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2002 Christies in London held the auction BRITISH PICTURES 1500-1850, which included the work Portrait of a gentleman, full-length, in a blue velvet coat, loading his gun, a spaniel at his side, in a landscape by Enoch Seeman. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 21,510.00 (€ 33,683.55) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Enoch Seeman have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in December 2015 the work Portrait Of A Gentleman In Moroccan Dress, Probably John Montagu, 2Nd Duke Of Montagu (1690-1749) was auctioned for GBP 43,750.00 (€ 59,410.40).

Im November 2002 führte Christies in London die Auktion BRITISH PICTURES 1500-1850 durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait of a gentleman, full-length, in a blue velvet coat, loading his gun, a spaniel at his side, in a landscape von Enoch Seeman zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 21.510,00 (€ 33.683,55) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Enoch Seeman konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Dezember 2015 die Arbeit Portrait Of A Gentleman In Moroccan Dress, Probably John Montagu, 2Nd Duke Of Montagu (1690-1749) für GBP 43.750,00 (€ 59.410,40) versteigert.
