Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Plumb Lossom by Empress Dowager Cixi was sold in the Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction at POLY in Hong Kong in October 2016. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 236,000.00 (€ 27,772.30), 18% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Empress Dowager Cixi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lotus, Root and Seed in May 2013 with an auction result of HKD 3,150,000.00 (€ 312,380.66).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Plumb Lossom von Empress Dowager Cixi wurde im Oktober 2016 in der Auktion Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy bei POLY in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 236.000,00 (€ 27.772,30) und damit 18% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Empress Dowager Cixi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Lotus, Root and Seed im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.150.000,00 (€ 312.380,66).
