Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Poem In Running Script Calligraphy by Emperor Jiaqing was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2004. The price achieved of HKD 47,800.00 (€ 4,636.16) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Emperor Jiaqing achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy In Regular Script in April 2021 with an auction result of HKD 529,200.00 (€ 56,659.15).
