Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Emperor Jiaqing achieved an unexpectedly high price at China Guardian in Hong Kong in October 2019. In the Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Calligraphy In Running Script sold for HKD 354,000.00 (€ 40,461.68) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 120,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Emperor Jiaqing; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Calligraphy In Regular Script sold at auction in April 2021 with the realized price of HKD 529,200.00 (€ 56,659.15).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Emperor Jiaqing erzielte im Oktober 2019 bei China Guardian in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Calligraphy In Running Script für HKD 354.000,00 (€ 40.461,68) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 120.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Emperor Jiaqing; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Calligraphy In Regular Script im April 2021 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 529.200,00 (€ 56.659,15).
