Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2021 Sothebys in New York held the auction Modern Art | New York, which included the work Sin título by Emilio Pettoruti. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 4,032.00 (€ 3,562.47) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Emilio Pettoruti achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Concierto in May 2012 with an auction result of USD 794,500.00 (€ 642,591.39).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2021 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Modern Art | New York durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sin título von Emilio Pettoruti zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 4.032,00 (€ 3.562,47) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Emilio Pettoruti erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Concierto im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 794.500,00 (€ 642.591,39).
