Sold at the upper estimate price
The work Baie au mur blanc (also known as La pared blanca) by Emilio Pettoruti was sold in the Latin American Art auction at Christies in New York in May 2017. The auction ended at the price of USD 150,000.00 (€ 133,499.47), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Admittedly, works by Emilio Pettoruti have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Concierto in May 2012 with an auction result of USD 794,500.00 (€ 642,591.39).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Baie au mur blanc (also known as La pared blanca) von Emilio Pettoruti wurde im Mai 2017 in der Auktion Latin American Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 150.000,00 (€ 133.499,47) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Emilio Pettoruti auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Concierto im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 794.500,00 (€ 642.591,39).
