Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2019 Sothebys in New York held the auction Impressionist and Modern Art Online, which included the work Deux Clowns by Emilio Grau Sala. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 3,500.00 (€ 3,117.48) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Emilio Grau Sala achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Después de la carrera in October 2006 with an auction result of EUR 168,000.00.
