Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2016 Sothebys in New York held the auction Latin America: Modern Art | Latin America: Contemporary Art, which included the work Figuras Com Bandolim, Coruja E Gatos by Emiliano di Cavalcanti. Here, the upper estimate of USD 450,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 466,000.00 (€ 418,500.22). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Emiliano di Cavalcanti - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Reclining Nude With Fish And Fruit, which sold at auction in November 2017 for USD 1,575,000.00 (€ 1,323,751.89).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2016 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Latin America: Modern Art | Latin America: Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Figuras Com Bandolim, Coruja E Gatos von Emiliano di Cavalcanti zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 450.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 466.000,00 (€ 418.500,22) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Emiliano di Cavalcanti mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Reclining Nude With Fish And Fruit beobachtet, die im November 2017 für USD 1.575.000,00 (€ 1.323.751,89) versteigert wurde.
