In November 2014 Sothebys in New York held the auction Latin American Art Modern & Contemporary, which included the work Carnival by Emiliano di Cavalcanti. The result of USD 125,000.00 (€ 100,498.47) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 125,000.00 – 175,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Emiliano di Cavalcanti achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Reclining Nude With Fish And Fruit in November 2017 with an auction result of USD 1,575,000.00 (€ 1,323,751.89).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im November 2014 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Latin American Art Modern & Contemporary durch, in der auch die Arbeit Carnival von Emiliano di Cavalcanti zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 125.000,00 (€ 100.498,47) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 125.000,00 – 175.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Emiliano di Cavalcanti erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Reclining Nude With Fish And Fruit im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.575.000,00 (€ 1.323.751,89).
