This artwork by Othon Friesz achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in March 2021. In the Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale Including Works from the Collection of Marina Picasso auction, the work Le jardin de l’Emir sold for GBP 27,720.00 (€ 32,563.86) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Othon Friesz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Ciotat in June 2000 with an auction result of GBP 212,750.00 (€ 337,234.94).
