Auction result well in line with expectations
In December this year Artcurial held the auction Impressionist & Modern Art, which included the work Bouquet de fleurs - circa 1906 by Othon Friesz. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 35,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 36,736.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Othon Friesz have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work La Ciotat in June 2000 with an auction result of GBP 212,750.00 (€ 337,234.94).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember diesen Jahres führte Artcurial die Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Bouquet de fleurs - circa 1906 von Othon Friesz zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 35.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 36.736,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Othon Friesz auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit La Ciotat im Juni 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 212.750,00 (€ 337.234,94).
