The work Jesus by Émile Munier was sold in the 19th Century European Art auction at Christies in New York in October 2014. The »bidding war« ended at USD 93,750.00 (€ 74,820.43), 34% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Émile Munier have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Le Sauvetage (The Rescue) in May 2001 with an auction result of USD 336,000.00 (€ 397,397.99).

Die Arbeit Jesus von Émile Munier wurde im Oktober 2014 in der Auktion 19th Century European Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 93.750,00 (€ 74.820,43) und damit 34% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Émile Munier auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Le Sauvetage (The Rescue) im Mai 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 336.000,00 (€ 397.397,99).
