The »bidding war« ended at USD 93,750.00 (€ 74,820.43), 34% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Émile Munier have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Le Sauvetage (The Rescue) in May 2001 with an auction result of USD 336,000.00 (€ 397,397.99).

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 93.750,00 (€ 74.820,43) und damit 34% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Émile Munier auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Le Sauvetage (The Rescue) im Mai 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 336.000,00 (€ 397.397,99).
