Auction result well in line with expectations
The work French Maternal Affection by Émile Munier was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in February 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 62,500.00 (€ 54,925.74) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Émile Munier have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Le Sauvetage (The Rescue) in May 2001 with an auction result of USD 336,000.00 (€ 397,397.99).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit French Maternal Affection von Émile Munier kam im Februar 2019 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 62.500,00 (€ 54.925,74) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Émile Munier auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Le Sauvetage (The Rescue) im Mai 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 336.000,00 (€ 397.397,99).
