The result of GBP 30,000.00 (€ 33,422.66) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Émile Munier achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le Sauvetage (The Rescue) in May 2001 with an auction result of USD 336,000.00 (€ 397,397.99).

Die Arbeit French girl With Basket Of Plums von Émile Munier wurde im Dezember 2018 in der Auktion 19th Century European Paintings bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 30.000,00 (€ 33.422,66) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Émile Munier erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Le Sauvetage (The Rescue) im Mai 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 336.000,00 (€ 397.397,99).
