In April 2016 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art, which included the work Two Indonesian Men by Emil Rizek. The result of HKD 30,000.00 (€ 3,379.95) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Emil Rizek achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Balinese Market in October 2012 with an auction result of HKD 620,000.00 (€ 61,722.49).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im April 2016 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Two Indonesian Men von Emil Rizek zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 30.000,00 (€ 3.379,95) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Emil Rizek erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Balinese Market im Oktober 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 620.000,00 (€ 61.722,49).
