Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April 2015 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Art, which included the work Quayside by Emil Rizek. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 35,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 40,000.00 (€ 4,622.83). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Emil Rizek achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Balinese Market in October 2012 with an auction result of HKD 620,000.00 (€ 61,722.49).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April 2015 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Quayside von Emil Rizek zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 35.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 40.000,00 (€ 4.622,83) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Emil Rizek erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Balinese Market im Oktober 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 620.000,00 (€ 61.722,49).
