A top price for Emil Rizek - as previously expected
In October 2012 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings, which included the work Balinese Market by Emil Rizek. The price achieved of HKD 620,000.00 (€ 61,722.49) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 500,000.00 – 700,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Balinese Market is the most expensive artwork by Emil Rizek that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im Oktober 2012 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Balinese Market von Emil Rizek zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 620.000,00 (€ 61.722,49) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 500.000,00 – 700.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Balinese Market das teuerste Kunstwerk von Emil Rizek, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
