Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2013 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian, which included the work Quayside by Emil Rizek. The price achieved of HKD 52,500.00 (€ 4,981.98) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Emil Rizek achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Balinese Market in October 2012 with an auction result of HKD 620,000.00 (€ 61,722.49).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2013 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian durch, in der auch die Arbeit Quayside von Emil Rizek zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 52.500,00 (€ 4.981,98) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Emil Rizek erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Balinese Market im Oktober 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 620.000,00 (€ 61.722,49).
