Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Blue Clouds by Elmer Nelson Bischoff was auctioned at Christies in New York in November 2011. Here, the upper estimate of USD 180,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 194,500.00 (€ 144,577.42). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Elmer Nelson Bischoff - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Red Cliffs, which sold at auction in May 2006 for USD 564,800.00 (€ 440,115.33).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Blue Clouds von Elmer Nelson Bischoff kam im November 2011 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 180.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 194.500,00 (€ 144.577,42) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Elmer Nelson Bischoff mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Red Cliffs beobachtet, die im Mai 2006 für USD 564.800,00 (€ 440.115,33) versteigert wurde.
