It achieved a price of USD 10,000.00 (€ 8,958.97), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 43%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Eliot Porter - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Trees, 1958-1975, which sold at auction in April 2008 for USD 46,600.00 (€ 29,933.20).

Die Arbeit 'Intimate Landscapes' von Eliot Porter wurde im April 2015 in der Auktion Photographs bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 8.958,97) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 43%. Für andere Arbeiten von Eliot Porter mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Trees, 1958-1975 beobachtet, die im April 2008 für USD 46.600,00 (€ 29.933,20) versteigert wurde.
