The work Wild Strawberries by Eliot Hodgkin was worth GBP 4,788.00 (€ 5,279.55) to a buyer in September 2020. This price was achieved in the auction Made in Britain at Sothebys in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 800.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eliot Hodgkin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Violets II in September 2000 with an auction result of GBP 51,700.00 (€ 86,509.89).

Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Made in Britain bei Sothebys in London erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 800,00 um ein Vielfaches. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Eliot Hodgkin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Violets II im September 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 51.700,00 (€ 86.509,89).
