The »bidding war« ended at GBP 68,750.00 (€ 77,285.20), 38% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Elie Nadelman have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Horse in May 2012 with an auction result of USD 842,500.00 (€ 681,413.78).

Die Arbeit Head of a woman von Elie Nadelman wurde im Juni 2019 in der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale bei Christies in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 68.750,00 (€ 77.285,20) und damit 38% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Elie Nadelman auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Horse im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 842.500,00 (€ 681.413,78).
