Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Eleanor Parke Custis achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Los Angeles in March last year. In the The Collection of Gail Feingarten Oppenheimer auction, the work At the Beach sold for USD 2,550.00 (€ 2,298.75) - well above the upper estimate of USD 1,200.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Eleanor Parke Custis - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work On the Ways-Gloucester, which sold at auction in November last year for USD 7,012.50 (€ 6,793.08).

In der Auktion The Collection of Gail Feingarten Oppenheimer wurde die Arbeit At the Beach für USD 2.550,00 (€ 2.298,75) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 1.200,00.
