Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work San Giovanni by Eleanor Parke Custis was auctioned at Bonhams in Paris in May this year. It achieved a price of USD 1,792.00 (€ 1,682.00), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 19%. Admittedly, works by Eleanor Parke Custis have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work On the Ways-Gloucester in November last year with an auction result of USD 7,012.50 (€ 6,793.08).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit San Giovanni von Eleanor Parke Custis kam im Mai diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Paris zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 1.792,00 (€ 1.682,00) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 19%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Eleanor Parke Custis auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit On the Ways-Gloucester im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 7.012,50 (€ 6.793,08).
