It achieved a price of USD 2,560.00 (€ 2,402.85), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 71%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Eleanor Parke Custis - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work On the Ways-Gloucester, which sold at auction in November last year for USD 7,012.50 (€ 6,793.08).
