The work French Street Scene by Eleanor Parke Custis was sold in the American Art auction at Bonhams in Paris in May this year. It achieved a price of USD 2,560.00 (€ 2,402.85), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 71%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Eleanor Parke Custis - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work On the Ways-Gloucester, which sold at auction in November last year for USD 7,012.50 (€ 6,793.08).

Die Arbeit French Street Scene von Eleanor Parke Custis wurde im Mai diesen Jahres in der Auktion American Art bei Bonhams in Paris versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 2.560,00 (€ 2.402,85) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 71%. Für andere Arbeiten von Eleanor Parke Custis mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit On the Ways-Gloucester beobachtet, die im November letzten Jahres für USD 7.012,50 (€ 6.793,08) versteigert wurde.
