Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The happy return by Elchanon Verveer was sold in the 19TH CENTURY EUROPEAN ART auction at Christies in Amsterdam in October 2004. The price achieved of EUR 16,730.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Elchanon Verveer - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Les Voila! Au Bord De La Mer, which sold at auction in April 2004 for EUR 57,360.00.

Die Arbeit The happy return von Elchanon Verveer wurde im Oktober 2004 in der Auktion 19TH CENTURY EUROPEAN ART bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 16.730,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Elchanon Verveer mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Les Voila! Au Bord De La Mer beobachtet, die im April 2004 für EUR 57.360,00 versteigert wurde.
