In June 2012 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction The Decorative Arts Sale, incl. Fine Paintings, which included the work Children playing with a boat on the beach by Elchanon Verveer. The auction ended at the price of EUR 2,000.00, which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Elchanon Verveer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Les Voila! Au Bord De La Mer in April 2004 with an auction result of EUR 57,360.00.
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im Juni 2012 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion The Decorative Arts Sale, incl. Fine Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Children playing with a boat on the beach von Elchanon Verveer zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 2.000,00 entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Elchanon Verveer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Les Voila! Au Bord De La Mer im April 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 57.360,00.
