Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
This work without title by Elaine de Kooning was auctioned at Phillips in New York in July this year. It achieved a price of USD 6,985.00 (€ 6,338.48), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 16%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Elaine de Kooning achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Red Bison/Blue Horse in March 2021 with an auction result of USD 562,500.00 (€ 479,008.77).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Elaine de Kooning kam im Juli diesen Jahres bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 6.985,00 (€ 6.338,48) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 16%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Elaine de Kooning erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Red Bison/Blue Horse im März 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 562.500,00 (€ 479.008,77).
