Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2021 Phillips in London held the auction Photographs, which included the work Ordeal by Roses #32 by Eikoh Hosoe. It changed hands for a price of GBP 4,788.00 (€ 5,621.56) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eikoh Hosoe achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Yayoi Kusama (Imaged Taken In 1964, Printed In 2016) in April this year with an auction result of HKD 81,600.00 (€ 83,329.57).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2021 führte Phillips in London die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ordeal by Roses #32 von Eikoh Hosoe zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 4.788,00 (€ 5.621,56) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Eikoh Hosoe erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Yayoi Kusama (Imaged Taken In 1964, Printed In 2016) im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 81.600,00 (€ 83.329,57).
