Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2020 Phillips in an online auction held the auction 24/7: Online Auction, which included the work Two Works: (i-ii) Yayoi Kusama by Eikoh Hosoe. The price achieved of HKD 43,750.00 (€ 4,845.67) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 35,000.00 – 55,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eikoh Hosoe achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Yayoi Kusama (Imaged Taken In 1964, Printed In 2016) in April this year with an auction result of HKD 81,600.00 (€ 83,329.57).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2020 führte Phillips in einer Online-Auktion die Auktion 24/7: Online Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Two Works: (i-ii) Yayoi Kusama von Eikoh Hosoe zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 43.750,00 (€ 4.845,67) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 35.000,00 – 55.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Eikoh Hosoe erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Yayoi Kusama (Imaged Taken In 1964, Printed In 2016) im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 81.600,00 (€ 83.329,57).
