In October 2021 China Guardian held the auction Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art, which included the work Yayoi Kusama (Set Of Two Pieces)(Image Taken In 1964, Printed In 2017) by Eikoh Hosoe. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 50,400.00 (€ 5,606.30), 26% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eikoh Hosoe achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Yayoi Kusama (Imaged Taken In 1964, Printed In 2016) in April this year with an auction result of HKD 81,600.00 (€ 83,329.57).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 26 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2021 führte China Guardian die Auktion Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Yayoi Kusama (Set Of Two Pieces)(Image Taken In 1964, Printed In 2017) von Eikoh Hosoe zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 50.400,00 (€ 5.606,30) und damit 26% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Eikoh Hosoe erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Yayoi Kusama (Imaged Taken In 1964, Printed In 2016) im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 81.600,00 (€ 83.329,57).
