Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Edward Wolfe could be acquired at Sothebys in Olympia in March 2007 for an unexpectedly low price. In the 20th Century British & Irish Art auction, the work Portrait Of Jenny Hamnett changed hands for GBP 900.00 (€ 1,324.70) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edward Wolfe achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of Curtis Thomas in July 2006 with an auction result of GBP 9,600.00 (€ 14,053.27).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Edward Wolfe konnte im März 2007 bei Sothebys in Olympia für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion 20th Century British & Irish Art wechselte die Arbeit Portrait Of Jenny Hamnett für GBP 900,00 (€ 1.324,70) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Edward Wolfe erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait of Curtis Thomas im Juli 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 9.600,00 (€ 14.053,27).
