Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait of a lady by Edward Wolfe was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2013. The price achieved of GBP 1,375.00 (€ 1,571.18) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Edward Wolfe have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait of Curtis Thomas in July 2006 with an auction result of GBP 9,600.00 (€ 14,053.27).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portrait of a lady von Edward Wolfe kam im Juli 2013 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.375,00 (€ 1.571,18) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Edward Wolfe auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Portrait of Curtis Thomas im Juli 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 9.600,00 (€ 14.053,27).
