Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Early Morning, Glenside, Pennsylvania by Edward Willis Redfield was sold in the American Art auction at Sothebys in New York in September 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 87,500.00 (€ 80,238.42) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Edward Willis Redfield have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Road To The River in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 730,000.00 (€ 691,156.98).
