Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work New Hope Mill by Edward Willis Redfield was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in June 2020. Here, the upper estimate of USD 180,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 200,000.00 (€ 178,078.53). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Edward Willis Redfield - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Road To The River, which sold at auction in November 2015 for USD 730,000.00 (€ 691,156.98).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit New Hope Mill von Edward Willis Redfield kam im Juni 2020 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 180.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 200.000,00 (€ 178.078,53) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Edward Willis Redfield mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Road To The River beobachtet, die im November 2015 für USD 730.000,00 (€ 691.156,98) versteigert wurde.
