In December 2020 a collector was able to acquire the work Garden, Boothbay Harbor, Maine by Edward Willis Redfield for USD 176,400.00 (€ 144,235.49). This price was achieved in the auction American Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Edward Willis Redfield have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Road To The River in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 730,000.00 (€ 691,156.98).
