Auction result well in line with expectations
In September this year Bonhams in New York held the auction 19th Century and British Impressionist Art, which included the work Venice, sunset by Edward William Cooke. The price achieved of GBP 15,360.00 (€ 15,360.00) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edward William Cooke achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bella Venezia in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 209,600.00 (€ 311,262.56).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion 19th Century and British Impressionist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Venice, sunset von Edward William Cooke zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 15.360,00 (€ 15.360,00) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Edward William Cooke erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bella Venezia im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 209.600,00 (€ 311.262,56).
