Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Dutch sailing boats on the Zuyder Zee with a distant windmill by Edward William Cooke was sold in the Three Private Collections: Belgravia, Berkshire and Guernsey auction at Christies in New York in May this year. The price achieved of GBP 3,780.00 (€ 4,398.06) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edward William Cooke achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bella Venezia in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 209,600.00 (€ 311,262.56).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Dutch sailing boats on the Zuyder Zee with a distant windmill von Edward William Cooke wurde im Mai diesen Jahres in der Auktion Three Private Collections: Belgravia, Berkshire and Guernsey bei Christies in New York versteigert.
