Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2015 Christies in London held the auction Modern British and Irish Art Day Sale, which included the work Tarmac Iii by Edward Wadsworth. The price achieved of GBP 13,750.00 (€ 19,584.83) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edward Wadsworth achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Imaginary Harbour I in November 2016 with an auction result of GBP 197,000.00 (€ 232,440.63).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2015 führte Christies in London die Auktion Modern British and Irish Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Tarmac Iii von Edward Wadsworth zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 13.750,00 (€ 19.584,83) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Edward Wadsworth erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Imaginary Harbour I im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 197.000,00 (€ 232.440,63).
