The work Landscape, Grand Canary by Edward Wadsworth was sold in the Modern British and Irish Art Day Sale auction at Christies in New York in October this year. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 21,420.00 (€ 24,596.11), 43% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Edward Wadsworth have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Imaginary Harbour I in November 2016 with an auction result of GBP 197,000.00 (€ 232,440.63).

Die Arbeit Landscape, Grand Canary von Edward Wadsworth wurde im Oktober diesen Jahres in der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art Day Sale bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 21.420,00 (€ 24.596,11) und damit 43% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Edward Wadsworth auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Imaginary Harbour I im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 197.000,00 (€ 232.440,63).
