Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2014 Christies in London held the auction Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art, which included the work Wings Of The Morning by Edward Robert Hughes. The price achieved of GBP 362,500.00 (€ 466,657.71) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 300,000.00 – 500,000.00. Other works by Edward Robert Hughes have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October 2009 the work British Dream Idyll (A Valkyrie) was auctioned for USD 866,500.00 (€ 587,258.56).
