Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2011 Sothebys in New York held the auction 19th Century European Art, which included the work Britishwings Of The Morning by Edward Robert Hughes. The price achieved of USD 470,500.00 (€ 349,736.12) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 400,000.00 – 600,000.00. Other works by Edward Robert Hughes have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October 2009 the work British Dream Idyll (A Valkyrie) was auctioned for USD 866,500.00 (€ 587,258.56).

Im November 2011 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion 19th Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Britishwings Of The Morning von Edward Robert Hughes zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 470.500,00 (€ 349.736,12) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 400.000,00 – 600.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Edward Robert Hughes konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Oktober 2009 die Arbeit British Dream Idyll (A Valkyrie) für USD 866.500,00 (€ 587.258,56) versteigert.
