Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work By The Lake by Edward Bannister was sold in the American Paintings auction at Sothebys in New York in March 2008. Here, the upper estimate of USD 18,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 20,000.00 (€ 12,654.22). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edward Bannister achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Palmer River in May 2021 with an auction result of USD 277,200.00 (€ 227,324.91).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit By The Lake von Edward Bannister wurde im März 2008 in der Auktion American Paintings bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 18.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 20.000,00 (€ 12.654,22) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Edward Bannister erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Palmer River im Mai 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 277.200,00 (€ 227.324,91).
