Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Figure on a Pier at Edge of Lake by Edward Bannister was auctioned at Bonhams in New York in November last year. It changed hands for a price of USD 48,255.00 (€ 46,745.13) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Edward Bannister have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Palmer River in May 2021 with an auction result of USD 277,200.00 (€ 227,324.91).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Figure on a Pier at Edge of Lake von Edward Bannister kam im November letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 48.255,00 (€ 46.745,13) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Edward Bannister auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Palmer River im Mai 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 277.200,00 (€ 227.324,91).
