Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Edward Henry Potthast could be acquired at Bonhams in New York in November 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the American Art auction, the work Portrait of a Young Girl changed hands for USD 1,912.50 (€ 1,694.43) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edward Henry Potthast achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Water's Fine in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 1,384,000.00 (€ 1,028,766.82).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Edward Henry Potthast konnte im November 2021 bei Bonhams in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion American Art wechselte die Arbeit Portrait of a Young Girl für USD 1.912,50 (€ 1.694,43) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Edward Henry Potthast erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Water's Fine im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.384.000,00 (€ 1.028.766,82).
