In November 2019 Christies in New York held the auction American Art, which included the work The Bathing Beach by Edward Henry Potthast. The »bidding war« ended at USD 77,500.00 (€ 70,333.06), 55% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edward Henry Potthast achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Water's Fine in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 1,384,000.00 (€ 1,028,766.82).

Im November 2019 führte Christies in New York die Auktion American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Bathing Beach von Edward Henry Potthast zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 77.500,00 (€ 70.333,06) und damit 55% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Edward Henry Potthast erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Water's Fine im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.384.000,00 (€ 1.028.766,82).
