Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2018 Christies in New York held the auction American Art Online, which included the work Lake Louise by Edward Henry Potthast. The »bidding war« ended at USD 35,000.00 (€ 30,910.54), 17% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edward Henry Potthast achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Water's Fine in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 1,384,000.00 (€ 1,028,766.82).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2018 führte Christies in New York die Auktion American Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Lake Louise von Edward Henry Potthast zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 35.000,00 (€ 30.910,54) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Edward Henry Potthast erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Water's Fine im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.384.000,00 (€ 1.028.766,82).
