In the The House Sale auction, the work Noon Day Rest changed hands for USD 1,195.00 (€ 959.69) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edward Charles Williams achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A gypsy encampment in a wooded landscape in June 2004 with an auction result of GBP 15,535.00 (€ 23,120.73).
