The work Pintura Generativa by Eduardo MacEntyre was sold in the Latin American Sale auction at Christies in New York in June 2007. The result of USD 6,000.00 (€ 4,437.87) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Eduardo MacEntyre have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Pintura Generativa (Desarrollo De Un Tema Circular) in November 2014 with an auction result of USD 50,000.00 (€ 40,199.39).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Pintura Generativa von Eduardo MacEntyre wurde im Juni 2007 in der Auktion Latin American Sale bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 6.000,00 (€ 4.437,87) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Eduardo MacEntyre auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Pintura Generativa (Desarrollo De Un Tema Circular) im November 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 50.000,00 (€ 40.199,39).
